Pitsmoor Celebrates Olympic Legacy with The Lord Mayor of Sheffield

Pitsmoor Adventure Playground hosted a fantastic legacy event on Saturday with over 100 athletes participating in sports and traditional games.

The event was supported by visits from former Premier League referee Uriah Rennie and the fabulous Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Talib Hussain who presented medals to all participants.

Pamela, aged 13, said: "It's brilliant that everyone has been included and given a chance to race and have fun, my little brother and sister couldn't stop smiling."

Patrick Meleady, Pitsmoor Adventure Playground Manager, added: "We are in the third year of operating our local Olympics and it gets better every year. The children are getting faster and fitter every year and love the learning on healthy eating."

Yanina Kozsinski chairperson concluded: "This years event was supported by a financial allocation from the Aviva fund for fun days and today was certainly fun."
