The Black Country BeActive Partnership aim:

"to use the games to bring people together to celebrate their own community through sport, culture and physical activity"

The Community Games presents a unique opportunity to Black Country communities to adopt a more active lifestyle, through sport, physical activity and culture, by giving them the chance to organise a celebration of sporting and cultural activities, and be part of the lasting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Black Country BeActive Partnership, a sub-regional Country Sports Partnership covering the areas of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton, promotes the Black Country as a place to work, live and visit. By working together with everyone in the Black Country we aim to inspire a generation to be active, and enable those with real talent to progress to the best of their ability, making a significant and measurable contribution to their future.

The Black Country today is very much a product of its unique heritage; cradle of the Industrial Revolution, and this can be seen at the abundance of unique sporting and cultural activities and attractions we have on offer.
