Kent Sport

Integrated into the Kent County Council Sport and Physical Activity service, Kent Sport is the County Sport Partnership (CSP) working throughout Kent and Medway. The integrated service has two aims:

  • To provide the strategic lead for and co-ordinate the development of sport and physical activity through strategic alliances/partnerships
  • To ensure that Kent derives the maximum benefit and long-term legacy from the London 2012 Games and other major events

Kent Sport is pleased to support the Community Games programme, aiming to utilise local contacts and partners to develop the brand as part of the National programme. Mapping the registered and confirmed Community Games to provide existing and new partners an opportunity to engage and celebrate with their local communities.

The Community Games will provide cross generational, multi sport and cultural activities for local people and their families providing the opportunity to experience something new and have fun offering something for everyone.

The national Community Games programme provides an opportunity to bring the spirit of the Olympics and Paralympics to local communities, linking in with the ‘Inspired by London 2012’ initiative.
